(HURON EAST, ON) – A Huron East resident and a North Perth resident are facing criminal charges after police executed a criminal code search warrant yesterday afternoon at a residence located on Cranbrook Road in Huron East.
Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) including members from the Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit and West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed the search warrant acting on information that stolen property was located on the premises.
Upon executing the search warrant officers located two stolen All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and an ATV trailer on the property. A 2007 Arctic Cat ATV stolen from Huron East and a 2007 Suzuki ATV stolen from Clifford were recovered. In addition, police recovered a 2009 STIR ATV trailer that was stolen earlier this week from Cardiff Road.
Two males were arrested on the property. Upon searching the one male police found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.
As a result, Colin FRASER, 40 years of age from Huron East has been charged with three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine and Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.
Joseph MCNICHOL, 40 years of age from Listowel has been charged with three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
Both remain in custody with bail court appearances scheduled for November 5, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
