Stolen Vehicle Torched In Gravel Pit

(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On June 16, 2018 at approximately 3:05 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck from a residence on Southgate Sideroad 11 in the Township of Southgate. The theft occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. on June 15 and 1:30 p.m. on June 16, 2018.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 16th, Grey County OPP received a report of a vehicle fully engulfed by fire in the gravel pit on Southgate Road 4. The Grey Highlands Fire Department attended.

Investigation revealed that this vehicle was the same one stolen from Southgate Sideroad 11.
