On April 2nd, 2015 shortly after 8 am Owen Sound Police Service received a call from the occupant of an east side residence advising of a damaged Ford Pickup abandoned on their front lawn.
Police attended the area and found a blue 2008 Ford Ranger that appeared as if it had been involved in a roll over as the damage was extensive. The vehicle had been taken from a residence within blocks of where it was discovered. Police believe the vehicle was taken from the owner’s residence between 10:30 pm on Wednesday night and 6:00 am Thursday morning.
Police spoke with the vehicle’s owner who was surprised to discover that his vehicle was missing. Police suspect the owner’s keys had been left in the vehicle. The Owen Sound Police Service Identification Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information that may assist with the investigation is asked to call Owen Sound Police Service or Crime Stoppers of Grey-Bruce.
