(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at approximately 1:56 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a theft of gas from a business location east of Upsala.
At approximately 2:32 pm, officers located and stopped the vehicle in question on Highway 11/17 in the Township of Conmee.
Further investigation revealed the licence plate on the vehicle was stolen from Saskatchewan and the vehicle, a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, was stolen from Edmonton, Alberta.
Patrick CLARK-MOLLOY, 20 years of age, from Edmonton, Alberta was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (x 2)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code.
A 17 year old male, from Edmonton, Alberta was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (x 2)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Fail to Comply with Probation
Obstruct Peace Officer, contrary to the Criminal Code
A 16 year old male, from Swan River, Alberta was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (x 2)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Obstruct Peace Officer, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The youths cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
All were held in custody for a video court appearance and all have been remanded into custody.
