Stolen Vehicle Destroyed By Fire

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Monday, May 11, 2015 at approximately 12:48 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle on fire in a field near the intersection of Grey Rd. 29 and Sideroad 3 in the Township of Chatsworth. The Chatsworth Fire Department attended and confirmed that there were no occupants inside the vehicle which was destroyed.

Investigation revealed that the vehicle, a 2004 Ford F150 pick-up truck, had been stolen from Next Level parking lot (formerly known as Chatsworth Motors) on Garafraxa St. in Chatsworth sometime after 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10th.

The Grey County OPP Canine Unit, together with members of the West Region’s Emergency Response Tactical Unit, assisted with the investigation which is ongoing.
