(TOWNSHIP OF ESSA) – This morning at 1:20am, a resident of Angus observed 2 males entering vehicles and contacted Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). As a result, officers apprehended two male youths, one 17 years of age and the other 13 years of age.
A quantity of property was returned to its owners at the time, however some of the recovered items have not yet been identified by owners. It is suspected these two youths were responsible for other thefts over the last few days.
Police are appealing to the residents that have had items stolen to come forward as we have some small electronic items that need to be identified and claimed by the owners.
OPP would like to stress the importance of locking your vehciles and ensuring that items of interest be removed or not be visible.
