(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE program at Highway 7 near Highway 115 just before 6:00pm on Saturday evening.
The officer’s attention was drawn to a vehicle that pulled over 250m short of the RIDE program. The driver explained that he felt the urge to go to the bathroom.
Stephen THOMPSON (age 49) of Peterborough is charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Vehicle with more than 80mg of Alcohol in his blood. The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial court on April 23, 2015.
