(CRAMAHE TWP, ON) –On October 24, 2015 at 8:40am Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 401 eastbound in the Colborne area. The black Silverado pickup truck was reportedly weaving in and out of traffic at speeds varying between 80 – 140 km/h almost striking two vehicles.
Police located the truck east of the Colborne exit and observed the same erratic driving. The truck was stopped and the driver displayed signs of being impaired. He was arrested and taken to the Brighton detachment for further tests.
As a result of these tests, Stephen SAGRIFF age 57 of Odessa, Ontario is charged with Impaired Care & Control of a motor vehicle and having Care & Control of a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol content exceeded 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on November 4, 2015.
