(City of Kawartha Lakes, ON) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Burk’s Falls OPP, Grey County OPP and supported by the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and West Region Tactic and Rescue Unit executed a search warrant today at a residence in the Municipality of Grey Highlands in Grey County.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, Stephen Paul KELMAN (age 33) of Grey Highlands was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery. The first robbery occurred at the Countryside Pharmacy in Omemee on January 05, 2016 and the second on January 09, 2016 at the Sundridge Pharmacy. The accused is currently being held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice by video on January 16, 2016. The investigation is continuing.
