(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Kirkland Lake Detachment along with assistance of the North East Region Canine Unit and the Kirkland Lake Crime Unit have charged a man with drug offences. The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the Kirkland Lake area. It culminated with the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Government Road West in Kirkland Lake.
Seized as a result of the investigation were Prescription Pills, Cannabis Marihuana and Cash. The estimated value of the seizure is $3,200. The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. on December 7, 2015.
Charged is Stephen HUFFMAN age 52 of Kirkland Lake with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Marihuana and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on January 28, 2016
