(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident after being called to a West Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, January 31, 2016 at approximately 4:58 p.m., employees from BJ’S Convenience store contacted police after a male passed a counterfeit $50 dollar American bank note.
On Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at approximately 8:10 p.m., a 52-year-old male was taken into custody without incident by members of the Norfolk County Street Crime Unit.
Charged with three (3) counts of Uttering Counterfeit Money, is 52-year-old Stephen Douglas RICHARDS of Norfolk County, Ontario.
He will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
