(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON) – On August 18, 2015 at approximately 11:15 p.m. Officer’s from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting RIDE spot checks on Highway 17 East. A truck towing a trailer was stopped. Investigation revealed that the male driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of further police investigation, Stephen Carl SIMON, 34 years of age, from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following:
· One count of Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol as per 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on September 21, 2015.
