Once those leaves start falling and get wet from rain they can become a serious driving hazard as wet leaves are slippery and reduce traction. Watch for wet leaves on the roads especially as you are making turns. Be aware that piled leaves on the roadways this time of year not only narrow the roads but can also act as tempting play areas for young children. Avoid driving over the piles and stay alert.
