(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in the driver being arrested and held for a bail hearing.
On August 18, 2013 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP conducted a vehicle stop on Monck Road. The male driver was unable to provide the officer with a driver’s licence and subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was prohibited from driving within Canada.
As a result of the investigation Stacey LAGLACE, 25 years of age, of Dawson Creek, BC, was arrested for driving while disqualified, contrary to the Criminal Code.
Further investigation indicated that Mr. LAGLACE was on a probation order which he was breaching. The accused was also charged with the offence of failing to comply with probation and will appear in court, in Lindsay, on August 19, 2013.
