(Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate after a dispute became violent yesterday shortly after 3:00pm.
A landlord and tenant became embroiled in a heated debate which spun out of control. The male accused stabbed another male, threw a paint can at a female victim’s vehicle damaging it and assaulted/threatened another male.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the accused, Stephen DUNKLEY (age 31) of Concession Street Havelock on the following charges:
Assault with a weapon
Mischief under $5000 (damaged vehicle)
Assault
Uttering threats to cause bodily harm
The injuries sustained by the male victim of the stabbing were not life threatening in nature. Police continue to investigate.
