Stabbing

On December 31, 2013 at 9:45 p.m. Police and Emergency Services responded to an apartment building on Avalon Place in Kitchener in response to a report that someone had been stabbed. A 56 year old male was transported from the scene by ambulance and remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 40 year old female resident of Kitchener was arrested a short time later as she attempted to leave the area on foot. She faces four criminal charges relating to the incident including one charge of Aggravated Assault. Police confirm that the parties were known to each other and do not anticipate any further arrests.
