(HURON TWP, ON) – On September 7, 2015 at 10:03 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 86 in Huron Township noticed a White GMC Sierra pick-up truck moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle speed was displayed on radar at more than 140 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The truck was stopped and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Fifty-two-year-old John WOOTTON of Cambridge has been charged with impaired driving, operate over 80 milligrams, possess a controlled substance, race a motor vehicle and drive with open liquor. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 5, 2015 to answer to the charges.
