(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Thursday, September 18, 2014, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2008 Hyundai vehicle for speeding on Grey Road 17 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
At the time of the stop, the officer noted that the validation sticker on the licence plate had expired. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in contravention of a court order as a result of a criminal investigation conducted by Waterloo Regional Police Service.
Joseph Roy WALL, age 29, of Kitchener, Ontario was arrested and charged with failing to comply with recognizance under the Criminal Code. He was also charged with speeding 117 km/h in an 80 km/hr zone and driving a motor vehicle without a valid permit under the Highway Traffic Act, as well as operating a motor vehicle without insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
WALL was held for a bail hearing scheduled for September 19, 2014 in Owen Sound.
