South Simcoe Police Daily News Release – 27April2017

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, around 11:15 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck collision at Holland Street and Simcoe Road. Officers learned that a westbound pickup truck, turning left onto Simcoe Road from Holland Street East, struck a pedestrian who was crossing Simcoe Road from east to west.

The 53 year old male pedestrian was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. The 33 year old truck driver was ticketed for Turn-Not in Safety.

Drivers are reminded to watch for pedestrians whenever making a turn at an intersection, especially in inclement weather or darkness.

Theft From Auto

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, South Simcoe Police were notified of a theft of tools from an unlocked pick up truck. A Bradford man told officers that sometime since Friday, April 21, someone had entered his truck and taken a quantity of hand tools from his vehicle while it was parked at his Chelsea Crescent home.

Stolen are numerous DeWalt cordless tools. Some of the tools have AL” inscribed on them.
