South Simcoe Police Daily News Release – 11April2017

(Bradford, ON) On Monday, April 10, 2017, around 6:45 p.m., South Simcoe Police were sent to a Bradford home for a report of an ongoing domestic dispute. Officers learned that a man at the home was bound by a peace bond to avoid the victims and to keep the peace. The man was at the home when one of the victims was leaving for work. He argued with her and broke the windshield of her car. Later that day, he was restrained by the other victim while acting out.

The accused man called police to report an assault, but was himself arrested. A 63 year old Bradford man has been charged with Mischief and 3 counts of Fail To Comply Recognizance. Alcohol was a factor in this incident. He was given new conditions, including abstaining from alcohol, and a court date in May.

Theft From Garage

(Innisfil, ON) On Monday, April 10, 2017, a Lefroy man reported a theft from his Lormel Gate Avenue home. Sometime overnight, thieves gained access to his garage through an unlocked door and removed a number of items including two bicycles, a snowboard, skis and a ratchet set.

Residents are reminded that unlocked doors are an invitation to thieves. Secure your valuables at all times.

Theft From Auto

(Bradford, ON) A vehicle parked at a home on Line 13 of Bradford was broken into overnight.

South Simcoe Police were told that between 11:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m., a pick up truck had its rear window smashed and the battery cable cut. A custom stereo and a computer were taken from the cab area.
