(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 31-year-old from South Huron was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension following a traffic stop that took place last night just north of Grand Bend. At approximately 8:45 p.m. the driver of a pickup truck entered into a R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint that was set up on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway near Indian Road.
A Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spoke with the driver and noted the driver had been consuming some alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a “Warn”. As a result the 31-year-old male driver from South Huron was served with a 3-day driver’s licence suspension.
