South Bruce OPP Investigae Cottage Break Ins

(KINCARDINE, ON) – The South Bruce OPP is investigating reports of seasonal property break ins in the Municipality of Kincardine.

On March 10th, 2012 at 1:42 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a break in to a cottage along the 200 block of Victoria Street South in the village of Inverhuron. Sometime between 1:00 pm on February 25th, 2012 and 9:00 am on March 10th, 2012, the cottage was forcibly entered through the back door. A Black Tasco telescope was stolen. The value of the cottage damage and stolen telescope is estimated to be more than $900.

On March 7th, 2012 at 5:03 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a break in to a cottage along the 100 block of Victoria Street South in the village of Inverhuron. Sometime between 12:00 pm on March 6th, 2012 and 8:00 am on March 7th, 2012 the cottage was forcibly entered through the back door. A Black Dell 17” Laptop computer, Black wireless mouse, Black Stanley stand up toolbox with wheels/handle and a Yellow Dewalt Compound Crosscut Mitre Saw were stolen. The value of the cottage damage and stolen property is estimated to be more than $1,800.

On February 27th, 2012 at 11:29 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a break in to a cottage along Harvey Lane in Kincardine Township. Police arrived to find that 4 cottages along Harvey Lane had been forcibly entered through back doors. Binoculars in leather, hard-shell case, a Jewellery box and 10” Black Mastercraft Compound Mitre Saw were stolen. The value of damage to the cottages and stolen property is estimated to be more than $1,100.
