Snowmobile Collision – Serious Injuries

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On Sunday, January 17th, 2016 at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, Springwater Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedic Service responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a snowmobile.

An initial OPP investigation revealed that for a yet to be determined reason a snowmobile operated by a 31 year old male from Springwater Twp. left OFSC Trail “B” and struck a tree.

This male was transported to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The investigating into this MVC is still on going.

The Huronia West OPP remind all snowmobile enthusiasts to a bid by all the rules of the trail and road that apply to your motor vehicle and to operate them in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
