Snowmobile Collision – One Airlifted To Hospital

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a snowmobile collision on a trail near Goshen Road in the Township of McNab Braeside.

Police were notified of the collision shortly after midnight on Sunday January 17. There were two people injured a female passengers on one snowmobile and the driver of a second. Police learned four snowmobiles were traveling together at the time. The male was transported by paramedics to hospital and then airlifted to a second hospital. His injuries are considered critical. The female was also transported to hospital with serious injuries. Police have not ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor in the collision.

Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation. Provincial Constable David Ladd is leading the investigation.
