(HUNTSVILLE, ON) With the accumulation of snow over the past week, Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind parents for their children’s safety the snow banks are not a safe place to play, including making tunnels. Snow ploughs will be pushing the banks back and piling the snow during the cleanup period.
The snow banks are getting higher in and around Muskoka, and over the past couple of days the members attending addresses are having difficulty seeing 911 numbers when assistance is required. Should anyone require any emergency services it could save time and possibly lives if property owners took the extra time to remove the snow around their numbers.
The OPP are also asking on behalf of Huntsville/Lake of Bays fire services that if you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, take an extra minute to help keep them clear.
