(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid a drug possession charge against a 49-year-old from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh following a tip from a member of the public yesterday.
Just after 8:00 p.m. Huron OPP officers received an anonymous complaint regarding a male that was using marihuana in a parked vehicle on Gloucester Terrace in Goderich. A few minutes later the investigating officer arrived on scene and spoke with the driver. While speaking with the driver the officer detected the odour of marihuana coming from the driver. A search of the vehicle ensued and the driver was found to be in possession of a substantial amount of marihuana.
The driver, Timothy BLACKADAR, 49 years of age from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh was arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana. He has been released from custody with a court date scheduled for September 11, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
