Fishing And Camping Gear Stolen In Seaforth

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers including members from the Huron OPP Street Crimes Unit are currently investigating a break, enter and theft of camping & fishing gear stolen from a Huron East residence.

The victim reported to police on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 that someone had forced entry into a storage shed on the property located on East William Street in Seaforth. Once inside the shed the thief helped themselves to a Bass Pro trolling motor, a Honda 9.9 horsepower engine, a black 3500 watt Coleman generator, a St. Croix fly rod, two tackle boxes, two Craftsman toolsets and three containers full of camping gear.

In total the stolen items are valued at approximately $3,000.

Investigators believe this theft took place sometime between 6:00 p.m. on July 28th and 8:00 p.m. on August 1st, 2017.
