Slow Drunk Driver Caught On Hwy 21

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Saturday, March 28, 2015 at approximately 7:15 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling well below the posted 80 k/hr speed limit north bound on the Grey Bruce Line in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The officer stopped the vehicle on Hwy. 21 and found that the driver of the 2004 Chevrolet pick-up truck had been drinking alcohol.

After failing a road side breath test the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests. The test results indicated the driver had more than two times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Timothy Michael CAMPBELL, age 39, of the Township of Georgian Bluffs, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

His vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
