(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON) – On Sunday February 19, 2017, officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of an incident involving a 74 year-old female skier who was injured while skiing at the Craigleith Ski Club, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The deceased is identified as Betty TKACHUK of Collingwood. At this time Police are treating this death as non-suspicious.
