(BRIGHTON, ON) – On Thursday November 19, 2015, at 9:24PM, an officer from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a motor vehicle on County Road 30 in the Municipality of Brighton for a traffic related offence.
Shortly afterwards, the driver of the motor vehicle went into medical distress and was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
The OPP notified the province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) which has since invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
