(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON.) The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is requesting assistance from the public with regards to a stolen vehicle occurrence.
During the early morning hours of January 9, 2014, an unknown suspect entered a Wellington Street residence and obtained keys for a vehicle that was parked in the driveway.
The unknown person proceeded to drive the vehicle southbound on Highway 72, driving it into the ditch approximately 15 kilometers south of Sioux Lookout. Another motorists driving by at the time observed several persons at the collision scene, but was not able to identify any of them.
It is believed that these persons were picked up by another motorists and driven back into Sioux Lookout.
