SINGLE VEHICLE ROLLOVER ON HIGHWAY 11

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON)- On May 20, 2014 at approximately 4:40 p.m. officers from the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Muskoka Ambulance Service (EMS) and Bracebridge Fire Department (BFD) responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 11 northbound near Alpine Ranch Road.

From the initial investigation conducted at the scene, it would appear the driver was travelling north bound on Highway 11 and veered onto the right hand shoulder for a period of time. The driver then attempted to bring the vehicle back onto the highway causing the Dodge minivan to rollover.

The male driver was transported to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) for medical treatment.

The driver, 76 year old Huntsville man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Fail to drive in marked lane.
