(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On Wednesday February 26, 2014 at 00:17 a.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police, Thames Centre Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single vehicle collision at Catherine Street at Elgin Road, Thames Centre. Police have learned that a motor-vehicle had left the roadway at an intersection and entered a field area where it came to rest. Upon speaking with the driver police soon discovered that the driver had been drinking. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of an investigation police have charged Jeremy ADKIN-BADDER, age 31 of Warwick TWP with:
Driving While Ability Impaired as per Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood- 253(1)(b) CC
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor as per Section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act (LLA)
Disobey stop sign – fail to stop as per Section 136(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused was later released from police custody by way of an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on April 14, 2014 to speak to the charges.
