On the 10th May 2015 at approximately 9:45pm the Owen Sound Police along with fire and ambulance responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2100 block of 9th Avenue East. A 2011 Ford Edge was being driven southbound by 39 year old Owen Sound resident when he lost control. The vehicle crossed over to the east side of the road striking the guard rail before crossing back and coming to rest on the west side of the road. Damage to the vehicle was extensive.
The driver who was not injured was investigated and found to have consumed alcohol to such a degree as to impair his ability to drive resulting in his arrest. Subsequent breath tests revealed that the man had four times the legal limit of alcohol.
Kenneth Wayoe 39 years of Owen Sound has been charged with impaired driving, driving with over 80 milligrams and driving while suspended. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound court on the 28th May.
