(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On August 11, 2013 at approximately 3:25 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), fire crews and paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision that claimed the lives of one adult male and one adult female on Concession Drive in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.
A white KIA sport utility vehicle was travelling eastbound on Concession Drive when it left the north side of the roadway and hit a tree. The driver and passenger did not wear their seatbelt and were ejected from the vehicle. Both parties were transported by ambulance to Four Counties Hospital where they ultimately died of their injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team are on scene of the collision to complete the investigation.
Concession Drive has been closed between Hagerty Road and Big Bend Road and is expected to be closed for another 2-3 hours to allow police to complete their investigation.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area for the safety of all responders.
