(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – – On June 27, 2015 members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling Highway 559 in Carling Township. Police observed a car swerving across the roadway and travelling well below the posted speed limit. Police initiated a traffic stop and determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, Shuresh SARVESWARAN, 23 years of age from MISSISSAUGA, was arrested and charged with Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on July 16, 2015 to answer to his charges.
The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
