(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment are seeking the public’s assistance after police were called to an Ashton Drive, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Thursday, May 14, 2015, approximately 9:55 a.m., a Canada Post letter carrier was in the process of delivering mail to an Ashton Drive address when unknowns fired a pellet gun.
Through investigation it was determined that the carrier was walking up the lane way of the address when they heard shot and a bb ricocheted off the asphalt. A cat that was following immediately ran from the area. The letter carrier was not injured and it’s unknown if the animal was struck.
Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment 1-888-310-1122.
