On August 19, 2014 at 1:43 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Walmart on Woodlawn Road East to assist with an arrested shoplifter. It is alleged that two men left the store with a cart full of merchandise without paying for it. The Loss Prevention Officer was able to arrest one of the men but the other ran from the area. Police continued the investigation and located more stolen merchandise in the man’s truck. This property had been stolen from the Kitchener Walmart. Police were able to identify the second male and he was arrested at 5:40 p.m.
Hendrix Dimatteo-Wright, 19 years of Hillsburgh has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He will appear in court on October 3, 2014.
