Police were called to a Bayfield Street grocery store with regards to a shoplifter that had just fled in a vehicle. While police were in the store the 31 year old Barrie male came back and attempted to return the product to get the monetary value. Police arrested the suspect for theft.
Further investigation revealed that the same male was caught on security cameras on the 9th of December and stole approximately $200 worth of product.
The male was taken to the station where he was held for a bail hearing on 2 counts of theft under $5000 and 2 counts of failing to comply with probation.
