Sherri Lynn FERGUSON – Flight From Police, Theft, Etc

(North Glengarry) – On October 19, 2016 at approximately 7:53pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a vehicle being operated without headlights on Highway 417, North Glengarry Township. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply to instructions. The vehicle was successfully intercepted without incident. As officers arrested the female driver, she became aggressive and resistant. Further information also revealed that she had pumped gasoline at a Service Station (Highland Esso) nearby on October 18, 2016 without paying.

Sherri Lynn FERGUSON (51) of Lethbridge, Alberta is charged with;

– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer

– Resist Peace Officer

– Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (pepper spray seized upon arrest)

– Obstruct Peace Officer

– Theft Under $5000

She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
