(KENORA, ON) On Tuesday September 2, 2014 just after 5:00pm, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop in downtown Kenora. Police determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Kenora OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, Sherman Kabestra, age 48 of Dalles First Nation has been charged with Impaired Driving and Adult Drive with More than .80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He is to appear in Kenora court on October 2, 2014 to answer to the charges.
