Shawn MATSCHKE-CLARKE – Theft, Use Of Stolen Credit Card

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have concluded a theft investigation leading to the arrest of a male.

On July 4, 2018 police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle in the area of Kara Lane in Tillsonburg Ontario. Cash and various other bank cards were stolen.

Through an investigation police were able to charge 27-year-old Shawn MATSCHKE-CLARKE of Norfolk County with:

Theft of credit card contrary to section 342(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Use of stolen credit card contrary to section 342(1)(c) of the Criminal Code

Theft under $5,000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

The accused was arrested without incident and is scheduled to appear in Woodstock Criminal Court on August 7, 2018.

Police are reminding the public to remove all valuables from their vehicles. People can also ensure their vehicle is not targeted by locking their doors. Putting your vehicle inside a locked garage is also another way to ensure your vehicle is secure.
