Shawn Andrew ESHKAWKOGN – Trafficking

(NORTHEASTERN MANITOULIN AND THE ISLANDS TOWNSHIP, ON) – At approximately 4:15 p.m., on December 31, 2016, members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 6, at Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) Township, Ontario. There were no injuries to the driver and passengers.

As a result of the investigation, Shawn Andrew ESHKAWKOGN, age 23 of Wikwemikong, Ontario has been charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking of a substance included in schedule II – cannabis marihuana, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, and Failing to drive in a marked lane, contrary to section 154(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

A court date is pending for the accused at the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay, Ontario.
