Sharmayne AVISON – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Sunday, January 10, 2016 at approximately 2:17 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 1987 Jeep Cherokee on Hwy. 10 just north of Markdale in the Municipality of Grey Highlands for a non-functioning tail light. The officer determined that the lone driver of the vehicle had been drinking alcohol and subsequently administered a road side breath test which registered a “fail” reading.

As a result of further breath tests conducted at the Markdale OPP Detachment, the 54-year old driver was charged with impaired driving and over 80 milligrams.

Sharmayne AVISON of the Municipality of Grey Highlands is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on January 28, 2016.
