(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On September 29, 2016, at approximately 3:31 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a motor vehicle that had left the roadway.
Officers located the blue Chevrolet car in a corn field on Glendon Drive, near Mayfair Drive. It was determined that the 21-year-old female driver had been drinking alcohol. She was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP for breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Shannon VINK, from Zorra Township, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on November 10, 2016.
