Shannon BILBIJA – Drive While Suspended, Over 80, etc.

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 43-year-old female with multiple offences after investigating a collision at a Haldimand Road 9, York, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday November 30, 2016, at approximately 2:18 p.m., OPP responded to a single vehicle collision on Haldimand Road 9 after receiving a call from a concerned citizen.

OPP attended and spoke with the uninjured female driver. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

OPP investigated and spoke with the female driver who showed signs of impairment by alcohol which lead to her arrest.

OPP has charged 43-year-old Shannon BILBIJA of Oneida Township, Haldimand County, Ontario with:

Care or control of a motor vehicle while having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 mL of blood,

Driving while under suspension

Driving a motor vehicle without insurance

Careless driving

and plates not authorized for vehicle

Her driver’s licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.

She is to appear in Provincial Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
