(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On December 17, 2014 at approximately 5:06 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the occupants of a motor vehicle on Wellington Road 5 near the 5th Line, Town of Minto.
Investigation revealed that the male passenger was in possession of marihuana and was also breaching a probation order. Police placed the male under arrest and methamphetamine was located on him when he was searched.
It was also determined that the male was wanted by another police service on an outstanding warrant.
Shane SUTHERLAND age 29 of Palmerston has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as well as Fail to Comply With Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 30, 2015 to answer to the charges.
