(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) – On Sunday October 21, 2012 at approximately 10:52pm County of Wellington OPP officers received a call from an alert motorist regarding a possible impaired driver that was all over the road on County Road 18 near the Freshco in the Town of Fergus. Officers observed the Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck in the Freshco parking lot that matched the description. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Shane McKenna aged 32 of St. Catherines has been charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle – Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on November 09, 2012 to answer to the charge.
