(HALIBURTON, ON) On Sunday, May 17, 2015 at approximately 11:20 pm, members from the Haliburton Highlands detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a break & enter to a business on Bobcaygeon Road in Minden Hills Township.
Upon arrival at the “On the Spot” convenience store officers observed that the front door had been smashed. A suspect was quickly identified and an area search was commenced.
During the search an audible alarm could be heard at the LCBO location on Water Street. A check of the LCBO revealed that the door had also been smashed.
A short time later an intoxicated male was located and arrested. Charged is Alex THYRRING, 18 of Minden Hills. He is facing charges of: Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence and Mischief Under $ 5,000.
THYRRING was transported to the Haliburton Detachment and held for a bail hearing.
