Several Impaired Drivers Busted

(SOUTHWEST OXFORD TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 12, 2015 at approximately

1:30 a.m. a vehicle drove into the Spring Lake RV Park on Prouse Road and parked just inside the gates. A concerned citizen checked on the lone male driver and had a brief interaction with him then contacted police. The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended and spoke to the male. The driver was suspected of being impaired due to alcohol.

Albert RILETT, 58-years-old years old of Tillsonburg, was arrested and charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with an alcohol level over 80 mgs, and Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired. He was released on a Promise to Appear and will appear at a later date at Woodstock Courthouse to answer to the charge.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO OVER IMPAIRED CHARGE

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – On July 12, 2015 at approximately 2:10 a.m., Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Oxford Street near London Street in the Town of Tillsonburg. The driver was suspected of being impaired due to alcohol.

Duane PENDER, 40-years-old of Norfolk County, was arrested and charged with Driving with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood, and Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released on a Promise to Appear and will appear at a later date at Woodstock Courthouse to answer to the charge.

MALE ON TRACTOR ARRESTED FOR IMPAIRED

(INGERSOLL, ON) – On July 12, 2015 at approximately 6:10 p.m., Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a male driving a tractor on the roadway and into a park in the area of Mutual Street in Ingersoll. The male driver was located operating the KIOTI tractor in Kensington Park. Police spoke to the driver was suspected of being impaired due to alcohol.

Grant HUIGENBOS, 43-years-old of Ingersoll, was arrested and charged with Driving with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood, and Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released on a Promise to Appear and will appear at a later date at Woodstock Courthouse to answer to the charge.

In all the above mentioned incidents the charged drivers had their driver’s licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for 7 days.
